Fostering the Next Generation of Leadership
Who is going to come after me and take up this ministry mission after I am no longer able to? How will the work be sustained into the future? As a leader, it is valuable and necessary to be looking toward the future, but sometimes, all we see is the uncertainty of how our ministry work will be continued after us. We will explore various strategies for fostering future leaders in our organizations who will take up the mantle and carry the work farther than we can on our own.

Mid-Valley Fellowship
Duan was raised in a small town in Arkansas, and relocated to the northwest in 1990 and Albany, Oregon in 1998. After engaging in his own journey away from same-sex attraction, Duan left his corporate career in 2005 to pursue a ministry internship at Portland Fellowship in Portland, Oregon. He had an opportunity to develop ministry skills and put them into practice in a well-established ministry. As the internship came to a close, Duan felt called to return to Albany and begin a new ministry serving the Central Willamette Valley. Mid-Valley Fellowship offers individual counseling and support groups for men and women, along with a ministry internship focused on leadership development. Duan speaks at churches, schools, small groups, and consults with ministry leaders and teams.
